Hello there faithful reader! I do so appreciate your swinging in after such a long hiatus. It’s been going like a rollercoaster in my life but I’m beyond blessed to be here right now.
Matilda just got a brand new battery but has a loose manifold and a mystery fuel leak I’ll be looking into. My kitchen is coming together, made somewhat on the fly. The trailer got it’s kitchen torn apart and is stuffed with kids toys and learning tools and some bath stuff. I do hope to take out the water tank and possibly replace it but that will be a project for another month or year.
I just had to get away from that area, which I’ll have to return to for a couple dental visits set up on the same day to allow efficiency on all levels.
Why’d I come to Missoula? besides the beautiful area (currently filled with smoke and sweltering hot) I’ve got a romantic interest here that is beyond sweet and kind. Currently observing him Larp sword fighting with his crew while the kids are running around the playground. I’m definitely entertained and have considered finding a spot to possibly winter and explore this further, but also having driven the bus about with the trailer for the first time in a while gives me immense pleasure and reminds me of all the things I love about our chosen life path.
What are those? the freedom of doing as we please. The routine we get into of work, play, and exploration. The way we bring all the kindness out from the shadows of this world. The way people get excited to see Matilda and the way they want her to continue going. If only I could entice this human to come along with us, but it seems unlikely for at least a while.
I may have experienced quite some set backs over this summer and things haven’t gone the way I would’ve liked, but I can’t say that it won’t all work out in my favor. Never give up hope. All the good things are coming for me and the toxins release themselves.
So here’s the little update and I promise there will be more of our journey again. The journey we call life.
