It’s clear into the afternoon and I was half considering not blogging at all today. What have we achieved today? What had we done yesterday? Not much by my estimation.
I mean, I did have some very meaningful conversations yesterday. Plans for future stuff and things. And I found a park with an outlet so we ozonated Bugus whilst I conversed with the local bums.
Then we drove a bit, stopping right on the Indiana state line truck stop. I made dinner there. We stayed the night on the other side of the stateline in Danville.
This morning we drove to Mahomet where we sat at a Casey’s corner until we got a full tank of fuel.
From there we came here to the playground here in LeRoy. It’s a bit windy and cold but the sun keeps peaking from between the clouds. I have good music playing as I work. The kids have a good area to run around in. I’ve seen 3 different cop cars two of which passed twice. Either they’re scoping for curiosity or for profiling sakes.
We finished listening to Clariel, the fourth book on the abhorsen series by Garth Nix. I still have 20 more hours of listening to Anna Karenina to go as I’m not nearly as consistent in my book as the kids.
See little to nothing to say today. Best go use my energy making more reportable things happen. This park’ll get flooded when the school kids get out in the next hour and a half, but I’m not really rushing myself by any means.
The kids and I are super excited to get to Peoria, and it’s right on the horizon as we now have the fuel, but I’d rather discuss when we’ll get there to adjust ourselves to our families availability. There’s also a plethora of things to do in town, so it will be a good time no matter what.
