#5921 Batesville, IN

A very happy mothers day to all the mom’s and grandma’s and bonus momsgrandmas and also to the single dad’s!! May your celebration of being a parent be blissful today!

I figured we’d probably have cake and do something crafty. Force my littles to write out “Happy Mothersday” and/or “I love you!” They are currently gifting me morning peace as they’re still sleeping.😂 It is a gray morning and my coffee is ready to be drunk. My heater is looking at me like “will you turn me on?” I’m unsure as of the answer to that, yet.

So yesterday, I did exactly what I said I would! YAY!! I POSTED A YOUTUBE! I’m excited that I did and am ready to edit another video, though now I’m breaking my head on how to edit and post time efficiently without staggering them too closely together. Any ideas?

We drove to Batesville to the laundromat. The town is super charming. Besudes all the smiley faces, some of their buildings are bavarian styled and there’s a BierGarten and a farmers market we missed. I was too intent on getting the laundry done to start the day with market. I justified it by telling myself I didn’t need anything, which is ridiculous because a) looking doesn’t cost anything and b) sometimes you don’t know what you need until you see it.

Whilst at the laundromat, a guy kept coming up right as I was in midst of nonsense. He was wearing a “the who” shirt and looked like he wanted to talk, but got deterred somehow. Another guy came up and started “I’m not from here, I’m from Texas, but I see you have something about ‘faith’ written on your bus, so you must be christian. Would you please explain what’s going on here?” All those assumptions in one simple statement are a bit aggravating. “I’m also not from here, I’m from Montana. This is my two story apartment I use to travel and educate my kids. Faith isn’t inherently Christian/Jesus based, but I’m happy you’ve found your faith in whatever makes you happy.” He did ask if we could speak and brought a bag of quarters, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and an offer to purchase us food at the meat market next door. It’s super kind of him and I do believe it comes from the goodness of his heart, but also with a bit of intention of converting me and my household. The note in the quarter bag had a bible quote about accepting Jesus in your heart to save yourself and household.

I heard the mailbox clink softly and when I turned a beautiful shorthaired woman was already scurrying away. I was doing something now so unimportant that I can’t even remember what it was. She was the one that dropped a whole $80 in my mailbox. I didn’t check it until we were at the playground. I really wish to thank her for her generosity. I hope by fate (with faith) she’ll read this blog and know I appreciate her very much! That I wish I had thanked her in person.

Galixy just woke up and said she dreamt of her sisters. She’s very excited to see them again!!

I dreamt of smoking cigarettes. So I really appreciate people cheering me on to keep at quitting this habit. I’m a bit worried about managing to stay a nonsmoker long term, but I’m really trying to focus on one day at a time. At this point I’ve kept nicotine out of my system for long enough, I’d say the biggest hurdle passed, but I know it’s the endurance that will be tested eventually and even one drag of tobacco product will send me spiraling back into the addiction.

The playground was a beautiful spot for the kids, though it was too crowded by multiple separate birthday parties for my taste of safety with the kiddos running free while I edited the youtube. We took a walk around the pond and saw a few fish and turtles.

Click clack, my mailbox just went! 😮 looked like a kroger gift card!! Seriously, that mailbox is such a genius addition to my bus, I’ve been telling all my skoolie people to add one. Yes, most of my skoolie people are people that fly signs (hold cardboard on the street corner) not all, but it’s a sub culture for sure. Some of our sub culture see van life as a semi gentrification of the traveling bum lifestyle. While I think that this kind of attitude is divisive where it isn’t necessary, I’ve read comment sections about Bugus where I was looked down on for living how I am able. Comments like “Cool bus, but totally ruined by her asking for donations!” It doesn’t matter how much work I put in to my crafts and projects, it barely makes enough to support a single person, and I support 3. If you don’t consider art worth donating to, maybe it’s worth donating to keep educating these kids. Maybe we’re worthy of your donation to expand the general populations mind, maybe just for your own smile. the “worst” reason to donate is to pity us, but I’ll take it anyway. I mean what are truly good reasons to donate to anyone? Saving this world one perspective at a time (not to convert to my perspective but to open it up in a loving way!)

T’is the face I make when I see y’all appreciate Bugus

If there was any transition to asking for donations, I’d say this was it:

I greatly appreciate your contributions. Every little bit helps and gets us to explore just a little more of this exciting world. I accept donations via CashApp: $MatildaBugus and paypal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/matildabugus

If you’d like to peek at our Amazon wishlist follow the link below. We really appreciate those special wants/wishes/deferred needs finding their way to us possibly via your help! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3LUAOP5L0M5FY?ref_=wl_share

The rain is really coming down now and both the kids have awoken. So, I must move on.

I really hope y’all have a beautiful and wonderful day! May you be grateful and may you share smiles.
