Early morning, sun is shining! Just kidding. It’s not early morning anymore but the sun is shining! It is first thing in my morning. Coffee in my cup. Atreyu is watching me dubiously hoping I’ll cave and let him play gameboy right now. Galixy’s still snuggling in bed. A guy just walked past the bus and chuckled.

So, yesterday I was in check list mode. I often only do 5-9 items on my list of like 24 things. Yesterday I did a whopping 19. From kids workbooks and exercising to self care and cleaning. We didn’t feel the need to leave our parkig spot until after noon. We meandered to a playground where we played for a couple hours, took a walk through the affluent neighborhood, and then headed a little north to first a European food store, then a Kroger.

“Canasta” makes me laugh. It sounds like a funny “Knast” which would be like jail.

I was so excited when I found the European foods store on my maps, no doubt in my mind I would go get some food. Even better, a sign said they accept food stamps. I was so stoked. Most of the things were eastern european things, so it was hard for me to decipher what we really wanted. After about 20 minutes of browsing, Galixy by my side (she’d just picked some funny mushroom bisciuts in strawberry flavor) the lady working, maybe owning the place, looked at us very sternly and said “SO?” I told her we were browsing and she got super gruff with asking if we needed help. The question sounded more like “I’m assuming you’re trying to steal from my store and I’d like you to leave.” I said that I’m sorry I’m taking a long time making up my mind, but if she’d really prefer, I could put Galixy’s thing back and leave, to which she grumbled for us to take our time. I don’t do well with unjustified gruffness. I’m the kind of person that would like to be respected until I prove to them that I don’t deserve it. what a weirdo I am. So as I kept parusing I noted to Galixy how excited I was for this store and how I’ve crossed state lines and jumped towns just to shop at european markets to get a taste of home. When we got to the register, the lady was way more friendly and even gave Galixy a gratis lollipop. Smart lady. I might’ve google reviewed her meanness: Store= amazing; worker= had a bad day? made us feel unwelcome.

While chilling in the Kroger parking lot, after having picked up something for dinner and new nut milk, I was doing some clean ups and I found a fat and nasty bed bug sitting in a spot facing away from the kid’s bed, to my sink, along the little mirror plastered to the wood. I wanna puke about it. Freak out! (if you didn’t read that in the 80’s/90’s beats, you didn’t read those 2 words right)

So I went a little crazy and cried a bit too and messaged a couple people, mostly Crikett. She said she’s already collecting building material and keeping the camper she’s gutted for my kiddos room. She is such a blessing in my life. I made a little map sketch to see how we’d be proceeding on our journey West. We’d been told to go to the Cincinatti for the worlds best zoo and aquarium. I haven’t spent Crikett’s birthday money to Atreyu yet, so we’ll make that an extravaganza! From there the path naturally leads through family area! We’ll be so excited to see Di, Zayda, Evie, and Tyler and meet our new family additions!!

I posted a screenshot of our path and Di eyed it. A cool momma commented a spot we should check out while still here in Lexington (KY horse park looks like an amazing thing to check out!!) And another traveling momma commented that their family is heading towards Montana as well. I really hope to meet up with those four beautiful humans. And my brother got excited on the instagram, too… It seems he has forgotten that he will be getting hit in the forehead by a pickle this summer 😉 Perhaps that’s not deterrent enough to get excited to see your sibling.

So I worked this for an hour now. I may not take as much time with this as I did yesterday. We must get on with our day. Last thing I wanna mention is the facebook post I followed with other mommas and kiddos to meet up with and making a friend in good timing for her, named Hope. She could use a friend and I’m willing. I hope we’ll be meeting up some time and letting our kids play.

At this point, I must say that we do run on donations and I greatly appreciate your contributions. Every little bit helps and gets us to explore just a little more of this exciting world. I accept donations via CashApp: $MatildaBugus and paypal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/matildabugus
