Pleasanton was pleasant. I really enjoyed the walk we took in the morning. It was a slow and pleasant start for a day with a honey delivery from Ruby and some really awesome people stopping by in general! I’m very grateful.
The kids wanted to go to a playground and I honestly didn’t want to go back to the same spot so we drove a bit till we got to Three Rivers and went to the Hopkins playground. Actually, first we stopped at the dog park to let the dogs run a bit. The playground was right across a little field and Atreyu really wanted to run across to get there fast while I wanted to get the bus over, too. The obvious solution took me a bit to get to and then get used to, was to let Atreyu run across the field with Gizmo while Galixy, Rhea, and I drove the bus over.
He did great and was so very proud of himself. The kids played on the playground for hours and we took a little walk around the creek/lake/thing. Before we left a guy and his family came by saying that a lady had told him that we needed help down there. I hadn’t even spoken to a lady so I was pretty confused. He said it was probably because my chalkboard asked for a wrench set, but he only had a set for personal use, not to give away which is more than understandable. They took a couple pictures with the bus and went back home. Really very lovely people.

When evening time came around, the kids helped me decide to drive a bit further. I was hopeful to get to Corpus Christi, but we only made it to a rest area where we ate some dinner and id bed time routine. The entire day felt pretty succesfull to me with lots of reading done by Atreyu, plenty of exercise for everyone, a new video revamp idea. It was a good thing I hadn’t posted the Japanese tea garden video right after I did it because it’s so much better on fast forward. I’ve got some fine tuning to do with other samples of video ideas on that. But the thoughts coming is a good thing. It means I am doing some learning and growing on what I want and how I might make it that way.
So this morning we drove into Corpus Christi pretty early. We went to a park along downtown beach area and took a long walk. The kids had some playground time and both had meltdown time. We walked along the sea wall a ways and even saw a dolphin play. It was a gray day and the fin and back bobbing out looked pretty dark gray, too. We saw Pelicans and walked to the Statue of Selena. I looked at the aquarium prices and found out it would be $70 for the three of us to get in. INSane. But, hey! Maybe someone will get us in? Oh, plus the parking fee of $5. Our chalkboard currently says “Dear Santa, We really want tickets to the Aquarium. Merry Christmas.” Maybe someone feels called to be our Santa. Or contribute. Tickets are to be purchased online, though, so, yeah… I also just learned that getting an annual membership with an ASTCA program could get us into many different places at discount or even free. That would be pretty awesome. Alongside a National Parks annual pass… dreams. I’m also looking at the Patreon thing again since I’m feeling a bit more confident with my road production.

We’re almost at the end of “spirited away” and I’m ready for bed time routine. Tomorrow is to be a rainy day and I’m mentally prepared for such. I figure if we spend the weekend exploring the town of Corpus Christi, we could be camping on the beach in some sunny weather for the solstice on Monday. I have not located any Oak log for burning this year yet, but I’m not going to stress. In the end, getting a bundle of fire wood is more than acceptable and having some quiet lovey eating sweets time. I’ve been trying my best to be conservative attacking the english toffee crikett sent. Homemade good fortune for the coming year. Looking out on the dark waters maybe we’ll get to see the planets allign. I hope it’ll be nice and quiet and not many people be there, but if there are, I hope they are chill.
