Good morning, good day, good evening. It’s a beautiful sunny and clear day. We’re still here at Molly’s house. I’ve been going craft crazy the last couple days. It’s amazing how many different things I can come up to craft when the feeling is there. Atreyu bugs me more to play pokemon than on the tablet and he’s getting the hang of which pokemon has which attack since I force him to read at least part of it. Then we do a little math subtraction on who looses. We play a pretty basic game with only 3 prize cards, but he usually has the luck of the draw despite my strategy and beats my butt. Molly is so good with kids (I mean she has 4 and was the eldest of 3 so she has reason to be amazingly patient and understanding.) it’s a good experience for me.
On Saturday we went on a short trip into town, but really hung out mainly. On Sunday we to the farmers market Molly works at and checked out the stands and gave our friend some company and an extra hand breaking down. I bought a super cool hummingbird with swarowski crystals. I didn’t realize how poor my picture of it in my window turned out until I sent a picture to Saliha and she couldn’t distinguish what it was. The guy selling them was super nice. I took pictures of more of his pretty things because I really like his idea. He gave the kids two crystals and uses 12 gauge wire. The results are amazing. Bluebell flowers, weeping willows, dragons, butter- and dragonflies,… What creations. The man is Dan Schafer and you can contact him at schaferdb@msn.com if you’re interested in any of these:

There was also a lady selling runes and protection charms, little goddesses and lots of animals. I wanted to get something so bad, like a Warrior charm with Raido in it, which is my traveling rune, but it was a little expensive. It was pretty fun looking at all the things. Galixy has the magic and was as transfixed by her stand as I. Another lady had some fire cider that was tasty and even had flavors that kids would like. I splurged on a bottle with blueberry and pomegranate. The sales lady was awesome. She’s got the farmersmarket sales vibe. She partners with her sister who does the online marketing. The one we bought is super delicious and I can hardly even taste the spice when I shoot it, but the kids aren’t quite convinced, so we’re gonna figure that one out somehow. The second day was already better.

People loved the bus. The vendors took the chance to ask Molly about it and us and some people took pictures. It was a really vibey market in general Pedernales Farmers market, with music by a snazzy guy who played Baby Shark for the kids at one point. I wih I could remember his name, he said his facebook thing enough. I feel I can do some more research on this stuff. Edit this blog before publishing XD Whaat a concept. Here’s the link to this guy’s music: https://zakwebbmusic.com/
That night we went into town to see if we couldn’t make a little money, but I put too much pressure on myself and didn’t actually get anything done. The next day we went to a laundromat and then the park where we got $5 in our mailbox before heading back to Molly’s for dinner.
On tuesday Molly had off and we got to hang out in the morning and in the afternoon we hung out with Edwin at his work place, which is a property he’s helping clean up and deck out. There were animals for the kids to look at and lots of area to run around as well as nature play things. We found fossils in limestone and sat by a little fire until it was nearly dark. Then they had a fishing trip planned!
We’re not far from water so it was really giving the kids their first experience on how to fish. I should’ve watched Edwin tie the hooks on and stuff. At first Galixy was being really loud and impatient and then Atreyu got grossed out by a worm and got pretty loud. Moral of the story. Galixy had like the only bite but lost it not knowing what to do. The water was really low, but at least we had some lessons. Maybe the next trip will be a little more enlightening. We definitely had some lessons.
The next day was really hard for Atreyu emotionally. I crafted and then took the kids on a walk down to the neighborhood park. Molly had said that it was a 1.3 mile walk which sounded really intimidating to me, but walking down was really not hard. She had pointed out the big hill being the main obstacle coming back but that it was nice to tire out kids. It had been dubbed the “Hill of death” but renamed the “Hill of life.” Atreyu decided it was love hill. Definitely a good basis to get talk kids back up the hill.
We spent and hour or so down at the playground, having a picnic and letting everything run. I climbed a tree and realized I climbed too high. I kicked my flipflops down and descaled the tree before vertigo took me. I let the kids get fueled up before I attempted the walk back. When I realized how long the shadows were I had a moment of “crap. This might suck.” After my body cramped up and felt the imaginary cold in my muscles, I realized that I had just been really warm in the sun and neither kid was feeling any inhibitions about the temperature. I relaxed and the warmth returned. We got to love hill and I asked the kids to list 3 things their grateful for. Then I gave Atreyu Gizzi’s leash and let the dog do some pulling on his little legs. At first he fought it, but I let him lean back on me and relax his weight into the pull. Half way up, Galixy started sending kisses to the top of the hill to be picked up when we got there. It was invigorating and the kids did amazing. They didn’t even need a break getting to the top. A wonderful lady stopped her golfcart and offered a ride, but the kids conquered that hill and I’m so proud of their attitude about it and their little muscles.
They were hungry though coming home for sure. We waited for Molly to get home for dinner. I was crafting all day, finishing a pendant that took a good 3 hours crafting time, but 2 days with all the distractions and kid needs. I got the kids into helping me do a couple ornaments.

The kids got to meet Rumpy, the neighbors tortoise. He’s about 200 pounds and hungry for berries and company. He really liked us coming over and feeding him fresh stuff. He chased the kids around the yard a little. Turtle speed chasing, but he’s big and Atreyu’s nervous of everything. I need some time with him before he gets any weirder.

Also, Crikett’s package came! She sent taffy and toffee, a card, and atreyu’s longed for and my life easier making- internet stick! This is so cool! The card is displayed because I love cards and it makes it more of a christmas family feel, and I love that she sends me one ❤ The candy is so good. I’ve been sticking my teeth together on the regular. It’s hard tp stay out of the tins, which means I have a close eye on how much snagging the kiddos are doing. That package was so packed with love, I attribute her love to a big reason I found crafting energy. That candy is homemade with love, just to point out how delicious it is.

I really have more work to do today. I alreaady cleaned up the bus some, but the seats could use reinstalling. I’ve got to call the foodstamp office for our renewal or we’ll be out in January until they reapprove us, anyway… Then I’ll come up with a day activity for the munchkins and maybe edit a minivideo ( Yay! internet!) I should also hook up the laptop to internet and see how that works. The mouse sticks so maybe a usb mouse will make that a more tolerable experience, but I’ve known that for a while. It’s managable, but the whole turning the mouse off and on again until it unsticms gets a little frustrating after a while. It’ll be doable soon and then the possibilities are endless. I could do Coursera in my downtime. I could hook the kids up to online learning courses. Maybe I could edit and store and mix better? Market better? Yes, yes…. thank you so much Crikett and Sam!
I’m going to go make that call now. It’s important and I’ll probably be on hold for a bit and then get to chat a bit. Divulge.
