Hey there! How do I even start anymore? I feel a little mind warped. The last few weeks have been…. amazing…. but also making me wonder about things like how conducive my blog structure is. Should I be mentioning our needs and stuff at the beginning of each post?
Like I really need that flex plate put in, front breaks and calipers. Oilcooler rebuild kit and radiator flush. My mind is combobulating the logistics of getting it done.
But, to me, it’s all about the story, and it feels like the most redundant and therefore maybe tedious to reiterate for the people who’ve been following for a while……
I had our new tires put on. We picked a local tire shop C Adam Toney’s and it was indeed the right option! Sir Adam Toney was outside when we pulled up and graciously mounted our tires at no expense to us! All the workers were kind and turned on the cartoon network channel for the kids. I feel very blessed for the help and kindness in all regards. The next morning I woke up with a sizeable paypal donation from the lovely Leah Ware!! I’m assuming she saw us on that venture! SO grateful to all the lovely people of Fayetteville area.

So, we left West Virginia to head towards western Pennsylvania to see our friends Brittany and Lily. Caleb decided to come up with us and use the chance to go see some people on the west side of the state.. It’s so nice to have company along the way.
We parked at Brittany’s place for a night getting to meet her partner and his dad. Mauve, the cat went out at night and got super scared by the neighborhood dogs and clambered up a thirty foot tree she got herself stuck in. Caleb heard her meow and we tracked her down to where she sat wide eyed. We borrowed a neighbors ladder but as soon as the ladderr got close, she got scared and went backwards out of the tree, disappearing in the shrubs to return a couple hours later.
She delayed our departure from Brittany’s, which wasn’t too big a deal since our next destination was the campground at Slippery Rock. We hung out there for a lovely weekend.
Everybody got along amazingly, none as well as Brittany’s dog Lala and our Gizmo. They were all over each other all weekend long. The kids played all day in the creek and riding their bikes along the property. There was food, music, and good company. A spot that’s generally hard to leave, but eased by my want to follow Caleb.
We drove to Mechanicsburg and met Caleb’s friend Decav who took us climbing at his climbnasium. It was a ton of fun. I do really enjoy climbing. The kids were encouraged to try bouldering which is climbing without harness on lower walls and easy routes before being strapped in and encouraged to climb to the top of a 30 ft wall. Atreyu did it! Galixy made it half way but starred at repelling herself on her feet while Atreyu did more of a climb down.

We also met some of the local bums who I don’t think liked me very much. To the point of calling cops on us and pouring piss jugs over Matilda’s front. It reeked of piss until Caleb poured a couple gallons of water down the bus where the smell was most poignant.
In Carlisle we ran into some lovely people inclusive of Sweet Pea and her family on Dead and Co tour.
Caleb headed back towards West Virginia yesterday, so this morning we slowly started in that direction, got some big projects needing tending and receiving help and company is beyond enticing.
So today we pulled into a gas station and a few people took pictures. A kind west virginian pulled into the pump next to us and I asked him if he’d help us with fuel. Turns out he’d seen us on facebook and that was what prompted him to get fuel at that moment so he’d be happy to help out some. Turns out his daughter’s name is Delaynie! Then we pulled to the Walmart and got to meet a ton more lovely people here.
I’m feeling very blessed. I’ve been having these feelings of impending change and it made me nervous to think that the change wasn’t gonna please me. Which is silly and not in line with what I want to believe. I’m glad I didn’t let my feelings about it keep me from my continuation of who I am and what I like doing. I’m so grateful for my perseverance and the timing of everything. I can almost clearly see how I can continue to work on myself and make this amazing relationship connection with this wonderful human work. It feels so natural to be around him. I feel seen and accepted and cared for. Galixy really likes him a lot. Atreyu has voiced that he’s worried about how his presence will affect our life and structure. It’s only natural for a 9 year old to want to protect his way of life from something that he sees may hurt his mom if things go sideways. Besides implementing a family council to ensure he feels heard, time will be the thing to convince all of us of this being what it seems and feels to be. Three weeks should hardly be enough to feel this connected, but it’s not unheard of, and I’m relishing in gratitude for this adventure I call love! It’s never felt so easy to communicate and listen. So easy to work together.
I’m pretty swept away. Very preoccupied. Forcing ourselves and each other to keep on track. He helps feed the kids and takes some of the attention load, making it easy for me to extend more effort towards also checking on him. Giving me leisure and advice to prioritize more efficiently. again. Blessed.
OH! I almost forgot! This lovely bee keeper came by at a walmart in WV and he got hands down the best picture of the month of Matilda. The colors in the sky and his Tie-dye, and Matilda… just all go together. He helped out with some moolah and homekept honey! For your viewing pleasure:

These two lovely people just brought me some stickers that say “There’s some good in this world. and it’s worth fighting for!” Much YES!

After last blogs picture crisscross to facebook and having a featured image debacle has me all paranoid about what pix are being registered by this app…. I mean, I’d made a pic of the roses I got as the featured image, but the one that popped up was of the kids being babies in a bubble bath! Grateful they were all decent, but where and why? Guess it’s a risk I gotta take.
I’ve been practicing my ukulele. Atreyu finished his 3rd grade workbook! Galixy is pretty close behind on finishing her 1st grade workbook, fighting through what feels like 3rd grade prep… but I’m not the designer of the notebook, just the director of the working it out.
Gizmo has been doing pretty well usually being off leash. I say it so dubiously because I just had to call him back, but he sticks around more than not now, so he’s being punished with being on the leash.
Rhea has her moments of old age but she seems to be navigating with her limited eyes and relying better on her hearing and smell. Until she tries to jump up the bus steps, a foot away from the bus steps.
I’m gonna get back to playing ukulele. By the time the kids are done with their internet time, we’ll head down the road a little further. I’m hoping to check out the Trans Allegheny assylum museum.
