Sat with my phone for a bit wondering where to write. On here where people are reading, or on the patreon I might eventually get a little pay on, but no one has showed interest… yet. I’m sure the right time may come. No work is wasted.

We had a beautiful ride down the coast of Maine, stopping in Freeport for the RV parking and a wonderful evening strolling the town.

Obviously since I haven’t written (again) consistently it’s all kinda up in the clouds on what we’ve been doing.

I wanna point out that Maine is cold and wet in the beginning of June. It wasn’t very enjoyable for us on that front. With a heavy heart we crossed back out of Maine. I vow to be back though.

So we drove a bit through New Hampshire and went camping in Vermont.

My bed in the bug fell apart, so I fixe that. Much easier this time than the last. I even added a little frill.

The campsite was close to a river so we had some nice hikes and baths. In the evening we had a nice fire.

I felt pretty obligated to write today and now that I’m here, I’m at a loss. I feel like we need to start heading west towards Montana to do some summer chores and dentists and stuff. It’s about a 30 hour drive from here and I’m incapable of going fast. Especially with exciting stops like Niagra Falls to check out.

So I’ve also been feeling lost in planning our days. I almost think it would be beneficial to do some preplanning the night before, but in the evening I feel even more unsure of what to do with our day ahead. Maybe it’s time to just go with the flow a bit more again, less map, more feel?

I have no idea. I’m just trying to do my best for these kids.

Pic time

That last one is the Bennigans Battle monument where we left Mauve. The sneaky lady got out while we were exploring. I’m fairly certain I asked the kids too check if she was in before we left and theysaid yes, but also, I thought we weren’t there for long so it could’ve been not so worried? Luckily we only drove to the laundromat! There I waited for her return long after finishing laundry. I decided that we would walk the 35 min walk to the monument just in case she was at the laundromat and then could enter Matilda without fear of us having left her. When we got to the spot we had parked she came loping out of the bushes towards us! She was as happy to see us as we were!

I would love to tell y’all about our lovely beach day, though, I fear, there isn’t much to report! The sun was awesome! The kids played in the water but it wasn’t really hot enough for me to want to go in. It was very relaxing.

Honestly, I’m really trying to be in Nature much more than the along the coast thing. Balance, aye? Tempted to pick up a rider, though I don’t wanna pick up anyone too random either.

Ok. Imma get off this for now and scoot myself into the sun! Maybe get the kids to walk more. We will see…H

Hope y’all are grateful! Hope the hardest of times have some glimmers of smiles in the middle to make bearing ’em a bit easier.
