#11522 Venice Dog Beach FL

What a beautiful mid January day at the beach! We went to the Siesta key beach yesterday and it was light, fine sand but had to leave the dogs in the bus. Here they’re getting the freedom to socialize with a bunch of other dogs while rolling in the sand. And the kids get water, sun, and sand digging time. The vibe and the people are magnificent and the weather is clear skies and warm. The sea breeze is keeping us all cool enough to function.

We’ve been keeping super busy and productive, though my todo list keeps growing anyway. I did start a new years list to kinda get a fresh start and perspective really getting some things done and checked off…. I’ll revisit the old list and reconsider things when I feel like most of the new list is conquered. Homework is going great and a lot of field trips and joyful days

It seems like I may need to get back to this as the kiddos seem cold and ready to leave

I’d followed the kids wants that day and packed up to hit the laundromat were we washed clothes and bedding.

Today we’re in Fort Meyers. We’ve been beyond productive. It’s only noon and we’ve finished homework and downloaded our new audiobook as well as ade an instagram post, that’s lacking tags like at all…

I’ve fallen right back into reporting blog style and I guess it suits, but I can’t help but omit a lot with the intervals I’ve been taking on writing. Maybe if I put it into the weekly task list. I figured if I separate my task list between things I must do daily, to do’s on the weekly, and then a physical list of things that just come up, like oil change, or doing taxes. It’s worth trying to get productive.

Work with my therapist has been going well. It’s very nice to have someone to actually consistently talk things over with, whatever is on my mind. I have a lot of improvements to make but we’ve been trying different methods as well as just talking things over and gaining more perspective sometime to accept and also let go of the things that don’t suit me.

As I was driving yesterday, I really felt the miracle of the wheel and engine contraptions enabling our joy of exploration and movement.

We’ve been meeting some really cool people lately. Sarasota had a plethora of colorful people inclusive to this lovely lady who is a counselor, advisor, and real estate agent. She brought us lots of helpful things and told us about how she lives doing all her various jobs. Another was a wonderful man on a bike who was full of smiles and day brightening words..

Twice we came across the same vanlifer on two separate days. He’s been on the road for 5 months and is full of joy de vie. I felt he’d be a super human to talk with my mom, like not per se her type, but funny and gracious with perspective and “liberalism” in a not-polittical way.

I’ve been doing a wonderful job marking my map and fulfilling only a quarter of the things I think find. Maybe eventually I’ll make a map of places `a la Matilda. I’ve also been feeling a wonderful draw towards crafts and flailing to actually do any. There ‘s the tales of my halfassery.

Imma add some pix to get the juices reflowing:

We visited the Weeki Watchi Mermaids. Atreyu was really excited for the reptile show which was very funny. The boat ride was wonderful going down the river and seeing turtles, birds, and fish. The mermaid show was cute, the early day one was educational about all that they’ve done and how it began in the first place. The later show was a theatrical interpretation of the little mermaid. The kids really liked it. I liked the sea witch.

We found this cool spot with a monkey island where it used to be just a rock that boats often hit and overzealous contractors ended up expanding it to a full sized island that became a monkey observatory and now a tourist attraction. The food was great, and we made a decision to add a lunch date to our weekly to-do’s.

Manatee Springs, no Manatees; found those the next day at a park

Every day has such beauty. And every day has such challenges. I hope to highlight the beauty while keeping it realistic with how rough sometimes our homework can be and that we all have a human composition to deal with.

That stormy morning really took a lot out of me, and we all took it fairly easy through that day. I try to listen to our bodies. Looking at our to-do list from last spring really helped putting old things on our current list and reviving.

I will leave you here. I hope you find joy and gratitude in your day and have strength for the hard stuff. I hope you feed what serves you.

Miracles Pending, as well as more art and productivity!
