Out of phoenix and sidetracked

Right now: 1:38 PM sunny, but breezy. Kids are using the bus as a race track. Chikkie and Rhea are out sniffing around. I’m enjoying the sun letting my toes dry out. Lots of green in this part of the desert and a minor bussplosion.

Yesterday, after Joe installed my battery into the engine, I changed my oil. While draining it, Sean came out and made it clear they were leaving for the weekend and I should be on my way as convenient. I finished my oil project and cleaned up my surrounding area, packing everything up. Goodbyes were brief. Least favorite part of all. I heated up the bus and made a few stops along the way out of phoenix, water, donations, dirty oil drop off.

We pulled into the loves truck stop to overnight. What a cold night, but our spot was optimal for early sun exposure. I woke up before the kids so the morning was super smooth and pleasant. While sitting outside smoking, some ladies came up and had me take pictures of them in front of the bus, they each gave me a dollar. They seemed pretty affronted by it being written on my bus, though, if I would’ve had to say it they probably would’ve turned their nose up even further. Such is the way dealing with snobs. Grateful for the 5 bucks put together.

So I put some fuel into the tank and we started driving. It wasnt long at all before we came upon tonopah. I’d heard about the hot springs and was totally willing to pay the $30 for a night of camping and not getting lost in the desert.

So here we are, after our 2 hour allotted soak.

We shall see what the rest of the day brings. So far such lovely people, but I need some fuel. Time to eat.

Loving you!

Anybody with good stove top recipes that go quick, PLEASE hit me up. Time to try something new. Dont care if you consider it your boring usual. I probably dont make that…
