We’re at the Rolling Hills Water Park and the kids are beyond happy. They’ve been wanting to go swimming, but “not in a lake or something. In a Pool.” So I promised I would find something adequate in the following five days. I promised it yesterday and today it just lined up. The entry fee of$13/person isn’t so bad. Then there’s a vehicle charge to get into the state (?) park too.

We got here at 12:30 ish and found a spot that would be shadier throughout the day. The kids had one minimal break in the three hours we’ve been here. I’ve also spent more time in the water than out of it. That lazy river float is just too good! The wave pool is fantastic. The waterslides, obviously fun! There was one we didn’t mentally prepare ourselves for. Galixy didn”t do the slides, but Atreyu and I were up and down a bit. That green slide though was a killer. way faster than I anticipated. Atreyu didn’t give himself any prep time and just went woo! the lady at the top went “Ope” and signalled to the guy at the bottom who got outta his chair to check that he was ok. I’m feeling super risky writing while they play in watr, but there are so many life guards around. If only they also listened. They just walked to the spot where our stuff had been at and then looked around perplexed. I’d literally walked up to them, waved them out of the water and pointed to where I was putting our sstuff and the only response I got was “I wanna go to the waves!” So I thought there was comprehension. Right after the waves were done they ran to our old spot trying to figure out what I was talking about. Heavens help me. Or heathens, whatever works.

So we had a wonderful camping  in Pennsylvania with our super friend Brittany and her daughter and some other friends that ended up coming out to join us. I felt super included and like we belonged. All the kids were around Atreyu’s age whichh was quite the switch up to enjoy. It couldn’t have been any better.

From PA we went through Ohio and yesterday we got into Michigan. Planning on going through the middle  and into the northern Penninsula. I’ve heard wonderful things about it and wanna check it out too.

It is hot and I’m loving it. This pool is making me so happy right now. If I lived in the area I’d get a membership just to go in the lazy river. That waterfall is looking mighty inviting too though.

At the very least I must get off the writing thing right now, but I’ll get back on it later today. I just need some water on these stripes….
