Oh what a beautiful and full long day today was! An what a hard start for writing it already is. Unwillingly restartedd the first line multiple times. Technology glitch that will probably come back to bite me later. I’m tired and the kids are exhausted. They just went to bed which is later than I wanted them to, but they were being good and gentle… I’m even surprised that Galixy stayed awake this long!
It was nice and warm out this morning. The boys ate pancakes and went outside to play fairly early. I even had to coax them to go somewhere. It’s sunday and that’s usually a good day for kick downs, so town seemed unavoidable to me. I wanted to clean out our toilet and go to the park.
It was infact a good choice. The weather was so nice and balmy and the kids felt so free and happy to be by the water. They fed ducks hemp seeds and corn chips, threw mud at a tree, built mud towers, waded in the water, rode strider bikes all around, explored two playgrounds, went on two rather long walks over the london bridge replica, and ate fish and chips upon Atreyu’s adament request! Pictures really say more so have some of those!

I didn’t just clean the toilet and do dishes and fill some extra water (I’m getting low on my tank and I need a hose with proper attachment fitting) I also spoke to some very awesome people! This one awesome guy read up on us and brought us extra dog food (some wet food for poor rhea teeth!) and as much as he could spare. What a sweet guy! There were some kids that were super taken by our animals and bus. Some retired folks who dreamed of their old hippie days walking by. A veteran who gave us a 20. A traveling artist with beauty in hand off to create more beauty gave us a 5. A couple and their daughter we’d met at quartzite last year graced us with some music practice. A single mom named Erin with her 3 kids finding some hope to do what she wants gave me a few dollars. And a lovely Kim from Butte, Montana came to talk to me and show me her pictures of a bus. She gave me a few bucks as well, but took down my number because she wants to help more. She did her traveling days with four kids. These last two ladies happened up at around the same time. Like an energetic vortex of female understanding and love.
Truly, today felt like it just flowed. A general summer feeling wafting through the air, Smiles everywhere! The miniscule things like breaking my mug just melt away. We’re in a warm climate. We are safe. There is so much still for us to do here. The boys want a boat ride. I want a museum or both and serious library time! The fish and chips wish experience of Atreyu cost us a pretty penny, One serving with 3 fish pieces and a Root Beer fountain pop was $16! At least I timed that so it would count as dinner. Both ate very well and enjoyed it immensely, so I will forgett about the money it ate and enjoy the fact that they’ve gotten some culture.
It was already getting dark when we finally left the park. The boys were unwilling to go, but I didn’t want to stress about finding the camp spot and bed time. We took a detour at the Dollar General. Not having a mug isn’t really doable for an avid coffee drinker. The kids took their wallets in and got themselves some knick knacks. Good time to look at price tags, identify numbers, corroborate with our wallets, and learn to make difficult decisions on what we want vs what we don’t really want. Galixy really wanted Slime. So much so that he dumped it all over himself on the car ride. Everything off the seat got cleaned but my favorite pants of his are ruined š¦
Atreyu did very well reading his book “Six Kids” tonight. It’s been a struggle but he felt so proud of himself getting it together tonight! We brushed teeth and read a book and then the kids wanted to watch a movie. It was almost 7 and I would’ve preferred reading another book and tucking them in, but they were being very sweet and lovely that I just let them do what they wanted. I picked a movie that wasn’t too long. I wanted to write while they watched but lazyness grabbed me and I played on my phone instead….
So now they’re asleep and I’m yawning my head off. I’m ready for a little chocolate snack and some water and then crawling up into my cozy bed. I’m leaving the drivers window cracked enough for chikkie to return since he’s quite the disturbance coming in my window in the middle of the night. It works for a cat door when it’s really cold or rainy, but I don’t need him pouncing on my feet and then creating a ruckus trying to get onto the wire shelf downstairs. Silly cat.
Oh! I forgot! This morning something else awesome happened! When I woke up, I had an email from bonfire that I had sold some items in my campaign. It hadn’t been running since april, so I was a little confused! Somebody reopened it! They ordered enough product to guarantee it printing and my getting payouts! WHAT? So obviously, if it’s running, it needs to be boosted! I shared it on all possible outlets with pix of my family in their shirts they got during the april campaign. And then Peaches bought a shirt. And the wonderful people who started it up again sent me a link for Christmas ornament foundraisers! I gotta get on that. It got me a little confused because the fundraiser options are a little limited, what do I category under? but IT WILL BE SO CUTE! I’ll need one at least one, Maybe I could get a ton and sell them XD we’ll see.
What a beautiful area. I’m feeling very blessed and grateful!
SO much love to you. Stay grateful ā¤
