Hello and good day! As I’m beginning this I’m already aware that it will probably be a minute before you get to reading it. For one I have no pictures of today and that makes for a rather drab post. for another we did “fairly little.”
As predicted the morning was absolutely gloriously sunny. It was a wonderful wake up with oatmeal for the kids and lots of delicious coffee for me. We woke up super early and it didn’t take long for Atreyu to start telling me we should start heading towards the swimming pool. I held them off with school work! AH! I do have a picture for today! look at my hard working boy!

We made it to the pool with two minutes to spare before opening, but it seemed already open anyway. It was very quick getting dressed and we were out to the pool. There was a little beach splash play area on the side of the wave pool. That was Atreyu’s favorite. Two heated pools, one neither kid was permitted in, obviously the warmer one. We all splashed in the cooler heated pool first. There were so many lifeguards and the kids weren’t allowed to take off their life jackets anyway, so I gave them stern instructions to stay in sight while I went into the hot pool. Kinda disappointing cause it was only 102. I could’ve gone for a nice 104-106 bath XD. There was also a water slide. We could only go down one at a time. Atreyu chickened out when I sent him up. We watched others come down. I let the kids watch me come down on it to show them it’s not so scary. Galixy decided he wanted to try, but he wanted me to go first so I could catch him. He came down on his back, head first. He was obviously scared, but SO brave. He said he didn’t ever want to go down it again. I told him he didn’t have to, but he was a rockstar for doing it anyway. Atreyu played in the wave pool for a little while by himself. I think all in all we spent 2.5 hours in the water before I got them to take a shower.
We took a long time showering. Washed three heads of hair, the boys were responsible for their own bodies. Atreyu wrapped himself in a towel first. Getting dressed was a feat. But I managed to cut toe and finger nails and drying everyone as well as properly dressed. The bus’ mailbox had a $20 in it when we got out! yay! I love when we do something for the kids and someone decides to kick down. We’d still be doing things for the kids, but it feels like a reward anyway. The kids deserve to explore and enjoy the world. It’s not their fault I’m incapable of procurring funds in a more upright way than “begging.”
From there we headed to the grocery store. We had plenty of food, but Atreyu wanted pizza, fueled by jealousy over the birthday pizza party hosted at the pool. I figured it wasn’t too bad an idea to hang out in the parking lot a minute there either, hoping to make a couple more bucks. All we got was smiles and waves, and that’ll suffice. Much better than frowns!
We purchased a spinach feta pizza and headed for the BLM land south of town. The boys were very happy to get back out onto the desert rocks. They ran around and played while I made pizza and and salad and read the lake havasu magazine winter edition. There are a couple cool things I would like to strive to see. I also want to take the kids to the movie theater to see Frozen 2! Galixy sings “let it go” quite fantastically, and though I know the song will probably not come up again in the sequel, they know and love all the characters, too. Who am I to stomp on anything that may make them happy? I’m sure they’ll be thrilled if we get the funds together. Maybe during one of the rainy days? I’d also like to go see the library here and the park we frequented last year. It seems my friend I met here has gone MIA. Maybe he’s busy working, or he’s gotten himself a romantic interest, which shouldn’t be a detriment to being friends, but you never know.
Right now, the boys are watching Nausica and the valley of the wind. It’s about 7 PM and I’m ready for chilling out. I’m out of pot and it’s a big bummer. I would really like to have more and maybe utilize it to quit my tobacco addiction. Maybe I just have to suffer through it terribly.
On that note, I’m heading out to smoke, while the kids are entertained totally and before it gets much colder than 65* O.o haha… low of 50*. My kind of weather!
Now I do feel like I’ve had enough to say to post. These kids are adorable watching their movie from their car seats, learning about pollution in an abstract way.
Loving you! Talk to you soon!
