Pocatello-Payson getting warmer! but not really….

Before bed someone dropped off a note with a pic of bugus hand sketched. I woke up freezing near pocatello at that walmart. Galixy woke up once at night to have me bury his face in blankets. Chikkie woke me up another time, trying to pry his way out of my window, but that’s dangerous when parked in a city. It was about 20° so I turned on the stove burners and boiled water. A necessity for coffee anyway. The windows were foggy by the time I got inside walmart. I got some stools and lights. The kids enjoyed stretching their legs and going crazy.

Finally at about 11 we headed out. I drove and drove with so many little pee stops. But total I guess my maps says we only made about 3 and a half hours today. At least it should be warmer tonight and not even below freezing! At this pace we’ll be in Las Vegas tomorrow and then kingman and Lake havasu! yay! It’ll definitely be warm come St George. We stopped in Provo to go to a playground. It was quite the “lucky pick”. I pulled over in a golf course lot to find it in my maps and simply picked a large park. There was a dog park and a duck pond. The kids climbed the playground equipment and swung in swings. We played for a good while.

I wanted to keep driving, so I loaded everyone up inclusive of roaming cat. I started driving, but just as we got up to the interstate Atreyu talked me into stopping a little longer since there was a home depot right there. We went in for a drain hose, but the one we purchased had too small of an interior diameter. I only need about a foot anyway, so I guess a local hardware store will do better. It was a good spot to stop for dinner as a lovely couple decided to appreciate bugus to the point of donating a decent amount of money!

I really tried to keep driving after dinner. I got the kids set up with a movie and headed out of provo. It was really not long until the cries of “potty break” resounded through the bus, so I pulled into the Walmart in Payson. The movie ended up being more of a headache to me because it kept skipping and Galixy was already tired so there was a lot of whining. I ended up brushing their teeth just as it found a spot to stop skipping and played the concluding scene. Atreyu read his book to us and then I read one book and a couple of facts out of a dinosaur book. Now they’re “finally” in bed, Atreyu is being a bit restless, but that must be my fault. If I had actually run them and their brains properly today, Galixy would have taken a nap during a driving stint and Atreyu would have closed his eyes by now.

dinner, trusty egg noodles at our new table. We all agreedd the asian ceasar dressing was too spicy though

I’m getting a bit chilly as I’m writing, maybe it’d be nice to turn on a stove top for a little. Maybe have some tea…. meh, feeling more like a cookie. I want to look up the weather and maybe see if there’s a second hand store close by for a little trip tomorrow. Other than that, I can’t think of really anything to do tonight. I could do some crafting, with this nifty light shining on this space I’ve claimed for right now (I’m sitting by the sink on one of our nifty new stools!) AH! I forgot to send my dad the app link to be able to track me! I said I would and I really want to stand by what I say. I sometimes have a hard time with that, but not as hard as keeping in touch with people. It’s unreal how many people I randomly think of in a day and never get beyond sending anything but vibrations. It really is getting a bit of bite in the air. Not a whole lot of water in my kettle, but it’ll certainly warm my back for a minute. I could go out and smoke, but that mainly means scrolling the sites and that’s kind of boring after a full day of concentrating intently on the road. If I had the option, I’d play some sims. Unrealistically and preferably in my bed in the bug! Why is it so unrealisitc, you may ask? well I don’t have a whole lot of power in this bus, I also don’t have a laptop capable of sims play even if it had some battery power and not just plug in power. And sitting up in the bed is fun too…. not like those curtains do much good right above my head, they’re also hard to keep in place. The bug is a project on it’s own…. For sleeping in and storing stuff it is quite perfect though.

Well I’ve gotten down to 18% battery due to negligence of charging chord. First thing this morning it dropped into coffee, so I let it dry out before plugging it in. I unplug every time we stop because of battery starting capabilities, so I forgot to plug it in more than not apparently.

I’m so grateful to that couple stopping by today. I’m so grateful for the love I have in my life. I’m grateful my kids are well enough to give me a hard time about not running around enough. I really hope to get out of this cold. Anything mildly warm is gonna feel like summer. This winter may be long though, with all the cold prognostics. Never the less, I will call it an early night. Maybe charge a little off the inverter. Or I could do that in the morning when I have to heat for all occupants anyway.

At any rate, I hope you have a wonderful (warm) night! Loving you!!
