What a hot and humid day! I’m about to forfeit visiting my aunt and uncle to be able to get North some. Or into higher altitude.
Brinkley reminds me of the Alien from Lilo and Stitch. Which makes me giggle internally. I like to think that I’m a funny person, and that I like to laugh a lot, but my serious demeanor on blogging, and my interactions with CJ seem to prove otherwise. I need the right energy and situation to feel humorous, but I feel like I use any excuse I can to be stressed or annoyed. I should just be taking it easy and enjoy my time. Instead here I am, worrying about the slow flow of income. Mainly probably because I have a scape goat.
Anyway. We left the park yesterday before schools let out, since that spot gets heavy school flow apparently. The laundromat was right down the road. I washed two loads.

After that, I took the boys to a swim center. The life guard was all kinds of strict. The water was at first very comfortable, but got very cold quick. I let the kids splash around for a good long time, then I took them into the nice hot showers and scrubbed them good.

Walmart was not far, so we camped in Bumville. I say that fascetiously. There were plenty of bums, but it wasn’t an actual village. And watched the last of Games of Thrones. Definitely worth waiting until the story was finished to catch up. It’s a great story in my opinion.
We left fairly early after filling the water jug. I put a few bucks into my tank. We’re moving only because I’m the one moving, not because there’s any contribution. We began driving. I had to ask for him to research the swimmming he had been wanting to do. By the time I had asked we “had passed by all the swimming”. gotta know how to use the search in your maps appropriately. We drove for an hour longer than I wanted and then pulled into a rest area that supposedly had a river access. It didn’t. We enjoyed the shade, but I took a go at finding an area for river access. It was flooded out. So, we headed even a little further down the road.

I found a kae with a boat ramp. We swam there for a good hour before some kids came up to tell us that there are snakes the size of our legs in those waters. At least we had some fun before becoming aware of the dangers. I’d think there would be signs if there were any threats. We stayed around the lake for another hour before seeking shade at this abandoned walmart parking lot next to Krogers. I bought the boys some ice cream.
I have the option of driving towards a walmart for tonight to park and sleep. It’s 21 miles away but my gas tank is almost at a quarter, which is the lowest I’ll go since after that the gauge becomes unreliable and running a diesel out of fuel is just plain stupid.
Cj is great with the kids. He’s patient and a good friend for them. He’s trying his best. Maybe my expectations are too high, but I need help, not to be slowed down, or have a live in nanny, I can’t afford. It was nice to go to the swimming thing and not worry about Rhea and Chikkie being too hot or running off. The kids are a lot happier having a friend and companion. He’s just also such a fan of videos that it seems hard for him to wait till evening until the kids get to watch any screen.
It’s hot. I feel bothered. Not sure what I’m doing or expecting. I’m tired and just want to be lazy in a shady spot that still gets a lot of exposure to humans. I’m already getting mighty sick of Arkansas, though it’s beautiful with lots of leafy and lush trees. I feel like I could use some mountain air.
Wish me luck and some head space.
Loving you!
