Good afternoon!Yesterday was a beautiful day and I should’ve written about it, but I was very tired after all the celebrating.Mothers day started at a reasonable time for me. I received a gift from my friend Crikett which partially funded my iced coffee. I took the kids to a playground and spent the morning there. As the heat increased we headed to get ice cream and a cheesecake desert.

Then we headed out of Wichita Falls. I started navigating towards a wildlife reserve with camping since all free campsites were out of the way. Piloting towards it we came right passed a splash park. Atreyu saw and exclaimed his desire to go. I couldn’t disagree. The boys played for hours. There was camping on site. A sign said it required a permit through city hall. Obviously, it being Sunday, they were closed. Locals told me it would be cheap camping. The police officer told me it was a little more expensive than what citizens had told me, but nothing compared to the $20 we ended up paying this morning.

All in all I would say it was a very enjoyable mothers day. very relaxed and enriching. I even received some donations at cache citty park. And I got a sun burn for the day.Today was a day of exploration. Our first stop was the wildlife refugee visitor center which has all kids of information and something they call a museum. I call it an exhibition of nature.

After that we drove to the Holy City and explored, followed by a hike around a lake to a tower.Medicine Park area is gorgeous.

From there we drove all the way to oklahoma city to a playground.

Driving the landscape has changed much for the better. We went from driving through the dust, cactus, sparse trees and same mountain in the distance to graslands of Texas to lush gras and mountains of Oklahoma. Towards the eastern border of Texas the side of the highway was speckled in light pinks and yellow. It was amazing getting into spring. Then we didn’t even see a sign that we had crossed into OK, but I could tell. The desert now far behind, lush trees and bridges going over bubbling brooks. The road side is spotted with the red of indian paint brush. It mingles harmoniously with a beautiful purple. The road is far from flat, yet mountains are no where really in sight.
Now we are at Walmart. I made absolutely no donations today, which would usually be fine by me, but that stupid campsite next to the playground costing so much was just a tad infuriating.
I just wanted to add that I am always more than grateful for any message or feedback. Whether it’s a message about bugus, or just saying hi. I want to build human connections. I want to know and see and be along side you.
Loving you!
