Last night was another thunderstorm. With the mud debacle I had completely forgotten to dry out my blankets from the leak I have in the bug doors. It wasn’t so bad wet, but I could hardly get any sleep.
This made my morning rough. The boys ate jelly tortillas. Then we stopped at the gas station and headed for the laundromat.

Out front of that laundromat sat two middle aged women who were delighted by our bus. It turned out one was the attendant and the other her mother. While I washed and dried, they kept the boys company. My kids even got a pancake and bacon breakfast. The attendant, Michelle, found my wire wrapping page and purchased three pendants. Before michelle’s mother left, the lady slipped me a donation. They were very happy to hear my story, share theirs and help me look for escapee chikkie whilst the boys watched cartoons. Family is all around. We just have to find them. The more I go with the flow the more I find the people who are right and proper to be able to call family.
We drove from Vernon to Wichita Falls, 50 miles. I wanted to go to Habitat for Humanity, but with Atreyu’s mood and Galixy’s sleeping, we ended up at Lucy Park with the waterfalls.
Right after getting there, a gold 1977 Malibu pulled up and started talking to me. The guy in it was very friendly. So friendly he told me I seemed trustworthy to follow wherever I went if I would be his woman and wife. He guessed my age at 36. I told him that was wishful thinking on his behalf because I’m just 28 and I’m my own woman and nobodies wife. I gotta point out that the man himself was 56 and self admittedly barred of seeing his daughter for having spanked her so hard he left a bruise on her bum. I commend him for his honesty, and appreciate his attempt at being helpful. I was happy when he left me to attend my kids.
Shortly after, another guy pulled in, wearing a batman ballcap. The conversation with him was light and enjoyable. He seems to be on a steady path of enlightenment forming his opinion with each hippie van he finds at this park. When Galixy awoke, this guy named Mike asked if he would buy pizza if we’d still be here to eat it. I won’t turn down free Pizza.

We walked through the park and then played hide and seek around the playset. A little boy, maybe a little older than Atreyu, joined us for our game. I ended up also giving him a piece of Pizza. The dad, a sexy beast, thanked us for playing before taking the kid home.

Mike invited us to come park at his house. I would’ve probably said no, but Atreyu heared and got very excited to take a bath and have a movie. Also, Mike having a wife and grandkids made me feel more secure about visiting.
It was already 8Pm when we got there. We watched a movie. Galixy and Atreyu are very happy to have such a nice new friend.

This morning we practiced tying knots.

I will bathe these kids and hopefully get to Habitat for Humanity and a couple thrift stores. Got a good long list of things to be accomplished.
Loving you.
