Science Spectrum, Lubbock – Crosbyton

Everything is trying to keep me from leaving. Just as I got everything ready, it storms. Then Galixy falls asleep as it clears up.I feel like I’ve been productive today. I also feel like it’s getting to the point where I need to leave.I stripped the carpets out of the bus this morning, strapped the seats back in their spot. Wandered around the area to make sure we got all our things together. While B and the kids drove to town, I finished watching season 5 of Game of Thrones. It’s super intense and I’m excited for whenever I get to keep watching.I also had a conversation with my dear German friend, Saliha. She inspired the creation of some meme’s:

All kinds of laundry was washed. Rhea got a bath. She’s my cuddle buddy and deserves some love and care.

We managed to leave this morning. Leaving is very hard, no matter how often I do it. I so appreciate all the love and space we were given. I’m going to miss them very much, especially sass pants O.By morning I mean we left around noon. Galixy woke up early, therefore so did I. I used the early morning to ensure all our things in the bus were in order and ready. The kids infiltrated the house around 9:30A. B made some dank breakfast burritos. I’m going to miss her. Reminds me I should send her all the pictures I took of our kids playing these days. Before we left, we took the slow road to make sure all the tires were proper and not falling off. As, there was no crashing or wobbling, we made our way to the Science museum in Lubbock.Galixy fell asleep before we made it, but we woke him up after a little while. Atreyu was very eager to go explore. The museum has 3 stories of mostly interactive displays, as that’s really the only way to learn about science. The employees could give a little guidance on your first visit since there’s three separate options of what to pay for, which means three separate ways of where to go after paying. The mid level, which is the entry level, is chalk full of experiments and rollies. The lower level has a few longer exhibits inclusive of a large set of teeth, a hot air balloon, water life, etc. The top level had an exciting automated marble track, sports section, block building area, miniature trains, and planes. The boys had so much fun running around.

fterwards, I drove to Walmart. We did some shopping. From here out I shall try to frequent smaller markets, I just felt the need to have the selection to hit the road with our few comforts. I gotta say, the fact that I don’t have a flushing toilet, or gray water tank, or real light seems pretty ok, as long as I get to eat what I want and comforts my soul. Maybe that’s why my focus is shifting to getting my comforts in line and sanitary. After an almost completely succesful shopping trip, we headed to Crosbyton. It’s a little town with a couple museums and a park with playground that allows staying for two nights for free. Galixy fell asleep again on the ride. I woke him for dinner. Atreyu ate a lot of dinner, while Galixy ate a little. Spinach raviolis are our favorite, despite Galixy turning up his nose at it tonight. They played so hard at the playground that Galixy hurt his toe and started bleeding. I had wanted to read them to sleep tonight, but I hadn’t gotten my work finished hardly, so now they’re watching Beethoven the 3rd. Maybe it’ll be like a winding down after all these screen time chances they had over the past couple weeks.Atreyu asked me why today went by so fast. I told him that only happens when he has fun and keeps busy, unlike during TV days because those get boring and take forever to pass. I remember starting my days with TV and then looking at the time early afternoon expecting it to be close to dinner time. The day would seem to stretch so long that I felt like the end would never come. Disheartening to say the least. I still feel that way sometimes when I think about destinations far ahead. But I remind myself that it’s just breathing in and out and what should I be antsy for anyway. We have so much to see with such a far destination and plans to go see. Maybe it’s just the fact that there’s a desitnation and not just a meandering happening. Though if I was meandering towards the ocean, I’d still feel like there’s a destination. Though I’d have more daily research about weather and campsites and entertainment. My phone is currently at capacity on space. I need to invest in a SD card or back up some stuff.Good thing my mom’s in Austria, or she’d know that I’ve used my half of the monthly data already, sitting around in a house makes me bored and when I’m bored I surf the internet and scroll the facebooks. Not very productive, but there could be worse things. Two ladies came and walked the trail around the park this evening. They stayed till about the sun set. Just now they returned with goody bags for the kids and a little money. Along side information about the local museums! Yay! I’m so Grateful.Should also mention the super hippie beetle we saw at walmart today! They’ve got family in Las Vegas, NM who sent them a pic of Bugus, and some family up in Libby, MT, so we got to talk about the area there. People are amazing.Loving you!
