Easter egg hunt and resting

Good morning. My apologies (to my stats) for not having written yesterday. That’s a lie, I wrote something but don’t feel ready to publish if ever. But, you know, U could’ve totally reported on our easter.

Yesterday was all sunshine and warmth. We’ve been waking up at 8AM since we crossed the time zone. I hope that it sticks around. The morning was spent playing around and drinking coffee. We passed the time before the house woke up to dye some decorative toy eggs.

Atreyu and Gage are getting along great. They’re consistently finding things to do together. Galixy joins them every once in a while. O. likes sneaking on my bus to find snacks or my most dangerous tool, so I try to keep yhr door closed. But it was a hot day. So I was also trying to get the air flowing through it.

I used a chance when all the kids were distracted to hide a large bag full of candy and eggs. The little ones got to start looking first. I had to explain to the big kids that it was because they would never be able to find any especially with the big kids running ahead and finding all the candy. In the end G was even told to sit out because he was finding too much. I just wanted to get the chocolate out of the heat.

The afternoon was lazy and laid back. In the evening, the family went to an easter barbeque with friends, so we stayed behind. I gave the boys baths and we had a noodle dinner. Then we watched Hotel Transylvania 2. I charged my everything.

I let the kids play because it wasn’t dark yet. Yay, summer hours. Much more to get done, so maybe napping in the heat of the day is a wonderful thought. But all of this eating food instead of smoking tobacco is making me puff out in my belly. I know I weigh more because I left myself into the bug. So I should really look into doing some exercise. Physical fitness is kinda important to me, especially in this lifestyle. I’ve got to be able to take care of myself and these munchkins.

My friends have a 3 ton lift, so I’m going to be able to change my drumbreaks here. On that level I should go get the leaf spring extendors and at least get those done. Then hope for tie rods and balljoints to magically manifest. That shop that did the TieRods but not the balljoints, and charged us an arm and a leg was amazingly stupid. I mean, if they were already overcharging us they could’ve at least done the job right. If they had, I wouldn’t have had to do the balljoints in the spring via church help, that also only half assed the job, maybe those parts wouldn’t need replacing now. Learning as I go on how to deal with shops. Not that I want to pay a mechanic 100$/hour to work for 6 hours on a job that I can do in 5. That’s what it seems like anyway. I mean how much would they have charged me for the glowplug control module? $50 part and maybe an hours work.

So I’m going to go to the grocery store today and autozone. Important things. Especially with the white smoke rumble that’s going on after starting, which could be an air intrusion, or some glow plug issues. Considering the control module went bad, and pessimism works well, I’m going to suspect it being a glow plug issue. I’m hoping it’s an air intrusion, and that Turtle miraculously makes his way past me before the intrusion affects my engine or transmission…? Or that somehow we manage to keep this bus from falling apart.

Loving you
