Happy 4/20 folks!
What an exciting weekend. Good Friday and Bicycle day on the same day, 4/20, and then the day of fertility/easter/Jesus resurrection day.
Lubbock is a very religious city it seems. This morning we were invited to 3 different churches. I really appreciate the hospitality, though, we’ll be celebrating on our own terms with nature.
My morning was spent cleaning, kicked off by my discovery of the mutilation of the teakettle. As in, Galixy stuffed a bunch of something down into the water. It smelled nasty. I was lucky enough not to have put it into my french press. And so I began a rampage. Not just of cleaning the dishes, but then ripping all the unnecessary nonsense out of my bus and chucking it into bags. We ended up with 4 bags going to donations and 5 trashbags. Granted the bags I used for donations were of the larger variety.
My friends here had gotten a hold of me, and so we started up our bus and headed over to them. The boys are thrilled to have their friends and a space to play. I think I may be able to get some work done here, so I hope they won’t mind our presence for a couple days.
We’ve been hanging out, most of the day. When they went to town for shopping, I took the chance to do my dishes in running water, which led to naturally me doing their dishes, too. The entire time I thought about smartass comebacks if they felt affronted to my washing their dishes. I’m happy my hands are clean in any case. They were super pruny by the time I got done. I hope it helps more when I clean than it is a step on the toes. I just want to help… and enjoy the running water in a constructive way.
I also took the chance of the boys being distracted and in a safe environment to get all the easter egg shit ready.
I feel a lot better today than I did yesterday. Less whiney and more productive. I feel capable and almost clean. I could totally use to wash my face.
Galixy wore Atreyu’s dress all day today. I think he enjoyed being pantsless most about it, but I don’t actually know. These boys are super cuties. They’re consistently doing and saying things that just really knock me into cute smooshy feelings. Like “we’re dancing and hugging to Nahko!” or things I can’t think of once I’m at the keyboard. Here are a few pictures I got today. Not a whole lot. Sorry:

Oh yeah, Galixy got himself into that swing and then told me he buckled himself properly (yes he said properly). Atreyu also got himself into the red swing but couldn’t get out on his own. Galixy also cooked makebelieve dinner on the kids kitchen. He made me car dinner and car desert. Didn’t care much for the fake can of peas. They crack me up.
I’m going in to socialize some more.
Loving you!
