Clovis is beautiful

Last night was rainy and stormy. It was a very cozy night. We ate noodles. Galixy spilled a lot of his. I feel like he’s getting sick of Atreyu’s favorite dinner food, but he always agrees and enthusiastically yells for Pesto when faced with the “sauce options.” He still ate plenty. Then we watched “Meet the Robinsons.” The boys went to bed very willingly close to 8PM. I scrolled my Facebook feed and then turned off my phone and crawled up into bed to watch “Ever After” I’m so happy I purchased it. Still an amazing movie. I had some tears come out at least three times, from beginning to end. I also shook my head at a couple spots, where my perspective has evolved since my teenage years, or things I missed during that time. Regardless, it made me feel like the possibility of romantic love isn’t as far off as I’ve been perceiving in my last three years of jadedness. I’m also acutely aware that I have some healing to do and that it isn’t so bad to be alone.

We slept in a little. By the time we were up and my coffee was in my cup it was already 8 AM. I was very grateful that we hadn’t been bothered in the middle of the night. The boys ate oatmeal and a PB and J.

We headed for a laundromat to deal with our overflowing basket of dirty laundry. A couple of ladies pulled up along side our bus and gave us directions to the local foodbank, saying they generally help out with fuel money, too. I don’t go to local food banks because I want the locals to be able to take advantage of such. We have plenty of food from random kick downs and our foodstamps. We could use cash for our rear brake pads and an add-a-leaf kit, but I feel weird going to a food bank to ask for mechanical needs. It’s a lovely thought of the ladies, and I almost feel like they’d be waiting there with a kick down, but I also dislike being tested, so I forfeit the foodbank.

While are clothes were cycling through washer and dryer, we ate grilled cheese from a food kick down of last night. I folded and sorted our things and then we headed to a playground.

We’ve been here for hours. The boys keep finding new friends to play with. We took a little walk around the pond and fed the ducks and geese. Galixy and I picked up a ton of trash around the park, too. Honestly, we do it all the time, but this park is filthy. Lots of wrappers and straws and a ton of cigarette butts. It’s raining microplastics in our atmosphere, but by all means, keep spreading your trash all over, I’ll come around to pick it up. We even found a super dry and smooshed dead frog, right by the main entry to the park.

I checked my bonfire campaign today and my dad purchased two shirts, so my step mom and him will be repping Bugus life! What a great excuse to call him. I very much enjoy talking on the phone with him, I just get busy and forget to call after it has crossed my mind.

My current personal goals:

  1. Speak more German with the kids.
  2. Scroll Facebook feed less (sorry less memes to post on Matilda Bugus page too)
  3. Read more books
  4. Read more books with the kids even after they’ve watched a movie and we’re all tired
  5. Do more things that satisfy Laney, not just the boys

My Bugus Goals:

  1. Sell at least 2 more Bugus Life shirts (bonfire.com/bugus-life)
  2. print 2 decal qp code to my paypal to stick on Bugus windows
  3. Get my rear brake pads and add-a-leaf kid (I mean if the tires are already off for the brakes…)
  4. Start making better videos maybe begging vlogging XD

These kids are silly and amazing. I’m about to feed them another something, and then find a printing store. After finding the aminals of course.

Loving you!
