Our playground time ended with a rain shower. We were already in Bugus since Atreyu had pushed Galixy. I might’ve let him continue playing after having a little talk with him, but he got upset about being in trouble to the point of throwing a fit about my asking him to come talk. So we had an even longer talk after he calmed down. By that time it had begun to rain.

We ate avocado, Hemp seed, and Salami sandwiches for lunch. I was all set to just set up a spange near a grocery store with gas station attached, but with the rain I really wasn’t feeling sitting out with a sign and gas can. And so we headed to the movie theater. It was one in a mall, which made me a little uncomfortable at first. I had wanted to go to a cheap-o theater, but I also didn’t want to see the Lego Movie. So we circled this bohemoth center and finally found the entrance to the theater. At least we picked a good time with minimal crowding. We also got there with 25 minutes to spare. We purchased some popcorn and headed in to watch some commercials. This wasn’t the kind of theater I’m used to. The seats were black leather, with long swivel tables and they reclined with the push of a button. I’m used to seats that may have cushion on them but fold up if you sit on them with your legs under you. Galixy and I shared a seat, which was way more comfortable than originally anticipated.

Galixy had to pee twice during the movie. Atreyu was so entranced he barely even noticed us leaving. I had brought in some hats in case the noise was too much for the boys, but Atreyu said he liked it. Galixy’s favorite part was definitely the buttered popcorn and monkeying on my lap. Towards the end, Atreyu and him swapped spots and I got to cuddle Atreyu a little, too.
After the movie, we were all still hyped up so we walked through the mall a little. The boys wanted to see the Disney store and named all kinds of characters inside, which kind of blew my mind. When have they really been introduced to any of them, except really lightning Mcqueen.

When I realized the boys had never really used an escalator, we obviously found the coolest one to go up on, walk around the food court and then ride back down on. Two lovely ladies got quite the kick out of my coaching them nervous chickens onto the down way escalator. They even did a little hop dance majig about a couple steps. We found another set to go ride up and then straight back down.
I feel like discovering these simple things that they haven’t done before is more fun than anything. I’m trying so hard to think of fun things they haven’t experienced yet.
Any corky ideas? Hit me up!
Obviously it may be a little hard cause we have a wide array of experiences through traveling, but I’m also kind of anti-society, so there must be some wicked things that seem normal to us, but my kids just haven’t done. We have ridden in an elevator recently, which was also a spectacle.

Atreyu kept asking me if I was hungry while walking the mall, so I knew it was time for him to get some dinner in his tummy. We got out to the bus and made dinosaur pasta upon Atreyu’s wishes. There was some change in our mailbox, but the little family that came up to the bus and gave us a $20 definitely bumped that spot and movie to having paid for itself. I think that’s a wonderful feeling. Walking away from an experience and it having cost basically nothing. It’s better than driving out of the gas station with a full tank and more dollars in your pocket than before. It’s not like an “achievement” emotion. More like a fulfilled. I mean, I’ve walked off a spange feeling awful before, too. Thinking back to about three years ago, the spot was fine and I made enough money, but this one guy had pretty much verbally assaulted me with a speech about shame and basically threw his money at me in a way that made me feel worse than a prostitute (not saying they generally feel bad, but not my thing…) I felt like literal crap, not because his little speech worked and I actually felt shame *eyeroll* but because that kind of energy lingers. The way he had been really made an impression of his character and if I ever see him again, I’ll run the other way.

Well, after eating the pastas we had a good little chat with my mom. The boys got to see all her animals (they were really more excited about her, but Atreyu ALWAYS asks about the alpacas. He can’t wait to go shovel their poop with his beloved Omi.) I got to be harrassed by the boys because facetiming means tons of attention and squeaking in my ear.
Now we’re parked across the street at the Home Depot. The boys zonked out hard once I got them into their bunk. I dawdled my time away with the stupid facebook scroll. I should’ve just gotten to writing, I would be done by now, eating Rice Pudding and then slipping into bed.
I wanna mention that I’ve been tobacco free for what, two weeks now? I still think about it on occasion, but I’m thankful for my appetite. Shopping is harder because I have an appetite and already generally over purchase, but now I actually have an appetite and am more likely to eat what I discover in my own bus.
48*F and I’m getting chilly. Time to eat that rice pudding with some cocoa powder and then go read…. my facebook and instagram feeds. Now that I said that I might actually read my Traveling womens book. It is an amazing book. It makes me aspire to write more and better. Documenting the world around us.
On that note, I have a subject I’ve been playing with in my mind for the last couple days. It’s an every day topic for all that we generally don’t report on. But we live it in an unusual way, so I will just have to get over it and write about this, too. Just not tonight…
Loving you!!
