The wheels on the bus go…

It’s a beautiful sunshiney day today. There was ice crystals on the ceiling of my bug, but the sun warmed it up pretty quick.

It was a pretty relaxed morning. We got a visitor named James who hung out for a good hour or so. He’s from Tucson, seemed very street. He was very polite and friendly with the kids.

After a Safeway employee came out to advise me that there was actually no overnight camping in Safeway (I know, I’m sorry, I was just trying to stay close to the tracks and not burn fuel and utilize your grocery store and fuel pump.) I packed up and got Solo to his Bus. I got held up a little by alovely Maria who snapped this picture

Solo got on his bus alright and I went to Garland’s to pick up my bikes. Yay! I socialized a little but I needed to take the kids out to a park.

Driving down the road this truck kept even with me. They asked me to pull over and had a bunch of questions. I got a donation 🙂 Then right after they pulled away, the guy that came by yesterday and kicked down a bag of clothes and a sweet lock, pulled into the empty spot next to us. He was stocked to see us again since he’d told his kids about us. They definitely didn’t seem as blown away by the bugus as Dad was, or they’re just shy or didn’t know what to make of me. All the kid perspective options seem entertaining in my head right now. I’m glad they got exposed to outside of the box views. I told them at least that different people have different things that make them happy and it’s ok to think outside of the box.

So after a melt down of a trip to Harbour Freight,( Galixy melted down, and we found nothing we really needed) and another chat with cool cat Dad (he brought us cookies and candies and a donation) we headed to the park.

Here I sit. Galixy is napping. Atreyu is running around. The cat and dog are out roaming. There’s an icy chill coming off the snowy mountains Atreyu is running around in short sleeves, but he wanted to take off his boots along side the jacket, so we compromised. I’m really enjoying the feeling of sunshine. I’m about to hide from the breeze though.

Now that I have most loose ends tied up, for here all it seems, there’s something holding me back. Atreyu says he doesn’t want to leave Tucson until tomorrow. Though, his motivation is mainly getting some Playground time in, I feel like it’s right. Whatever. It’ll be cold everywhere. I’m a little nervous about taking the door on the highway. I need to add an outdoor locking system and maybe another bolt to sturdy it up some.

Galixy just woke up. He was very hazy at first despite no pain medication today. Now he’s very talkative. He says “the park is huge. I don’t want to go down the big slide. I can see brother out there. I don’t want to play with brother’s friends. Because I want to cuddle with you.”

Now he wants to play, so here I go to play.
