Good afternoon! We’re at a Petro truck stop trying to get a jug or two before heading into the woods near payson.
I was really torn whether or not we would go to the rainbow gathering. I dropped my phone right after typing that and now my screen is glitchy and I’m worried about my future writing and capabilities. But here I am, having the bottom part of my screen flash brightly at me as I guess at space, comma, period, And symbols. But honestly that flashy lign is super bright and obnoxious.
Anyway, this morning I knew I had to go to the post office and pick up my ebt card, but I wasnt sure whether I wanted to go to the gathering. Just that strong debate in my head should’ve told me i wanted to go, but it took me until after picking up the letter with a big surprise in it to solidify my decision. Besides my fortune cookie today said greatness lies ahead if I’m not timid. So I took my fortune and Kenny to the woods.
We also gave a pal a ride to Phoenix. But the true spectacle of the trip, disregard my phone breaking, was during our potty break, Galixy found my juice bottle I’d been cleaning my diva cup into and dumped it over his lap into the potty and onto the beautiful new white fluffy carpet. I wasn’t going to clean up that carpet with an audience so the carpet is no more and blankets are insulating our floors again. Yay.
We had a fun time getting to a grocery store with a glitchy phone, but it got handled. Shopping had one main highlight. The lady was just done scanning our stuff and the beautiful lady a person behind us just inserted her card into the slot. I told her I had food stamps, but she told me to save them and complimented my kids and bugus. Needless to say, I also got a hug and a smile ❤ I’m so grateful.
So then we get lost driving into the woods, which is technically the desert, but rainbow, man. The getting lost part is only worth mentioning because it’s the style to get here. Driving in we immediately came upon a grouping of people we’ll gladly associate with. As in, I know them, and I can trust we’re safe and no shenanigans would happen in our vicinity without prompt action.
Galixy fell asleep on the way up, but atreyu went out into the dark for a minute while I made dinner. After tucking both into bed, I went out to the fire and had the privilege of meeting new people and socializing with friends. Tomorrow it’s supposed to rain, but we’ll see.
Late night and a flashing light. Time to turn off 😉
