Last night, I walked around the neighborhood where Chikkie had been spotted. Galixy was passing out and Atreyu was entertained by the movie, so i power walked the spanse of 3 blocks. Closing back on the bus, planning to grab another Jacket, my phone rang: “I’m about to make your night a lot better!”
This stupid cat wandered SO far, but apparently he managed to get a Spa day from this amazing family. They clipped his nails, brushed him tidy, took him to the vet (he’s about 4 months old), and drove him all over town trying to reunite us. I’m so grateful. I may not remember their names ( 😢) but I’ll never forget their faces. Chikkie seemed aloof about his return (cat style), but curled up with the boys in bed contently, and greeted me with a face bump for his pre bed snuggles.

Another night of close to freezing, though this morning was bright and sunny from the beginning. That is until the boys emptied a jar of fiber gummy vitamins for kids. I dont know if you’ve ever overdosed on fiber or vitamin C, but I found it easy to imagine what this day would consist of.
Never the less, I parked the bus at the Kino gem show complex and went to see my friends’ work spaces. The boys did pretty well. It pays off to expect to deal with the worst. We made a pretty big loop of the complex and Atreyu found a new backpack since his zipper isnt staying done up it seemed reasonable for him and I to pitch some bucks together and afford the little green bug.
When we got back to the bus, the poops began. Atreyu was first to cry his butt hurt. I think they filled the kid potty three times today. We were all perspiring. Boys of ailment and I of mopping. I felt caught in a bad teen comedy with too much bum spray slap stick. But I survived and, surprisingly, the bus seems to have not suffered too much violence at the butts of my creations. I’m grateful.
Today I received an email from a thoughtful lady. She met up with me to give me a grocery card and a box of spices. She found us through the interwebs; well saw us drive, had seen pictures in groups, then stumbled on this blog, and contacted me. What a wonderful soul. I could feel she had lot on her mind, but I dont want to pry, so i did what i could and was simply me, full of gratitude and appreciation.
I’m pretty blessed, except financially, but oh well, maybe we can change that
Was to post last night, but the update button looked a lot like the power button and vice versa. Sleep blogging not so fun
