Good morning (to me. Whenever you read: salutations!)
It’s hiding time for me. The kids are playing in the bus or something. At least they are quiet. Not like me in the morning. I’d like to say I’m usually contained but mornings are hard, so contained on my bus will have to do. I shall not make you privy to the whirlwind my bus experiences, but it usually ends up cleaner than it was at night.
The last few days, hanging out here, at our new friends’ place, I’ve been keeping to myself. I just dont wish to be a disturbance while also tinkering away. Unfortunately, this makes me feel like I’m keeping myself from these wonderful people. I do have a lot I could share with them and learn from them, and I feel rude, but have plenty to keep me busy, and always blank or freeze up when the chance for communication presents itself. Awkward.
Two days ago, I got to talk to my bestest, farthest friend. Talking to her and seeing her and her baby is refreshing. I am so grateful technology allows her to stay close. I do hope for her to join me eventually. We may not always have it easy, but she can be such a sunshine and light and our conversations have generally enriched us both from the very beginning. The value of transparency, when you can disagree on a subject, but find common ground in the base with honesty.
Yesterday was a day of errands for me. Galixy and Atreyu mutilated atreyu’s car seat completely. So I found a “new” one on craigslist. We drove clear across town for it with intentions of working our way back with our errands. Pick and pull wouldn’t let me enter with the kids. Autozone took almost a hundo out of me. Worth it. Thrift store with a 20 for blankets and fabric. Grocery store! Our very first stop had been the post office to pick up my ebt card and a surprise from my mom! π I got a polly pocket! *happy dance* it’s a new age one, but whatever! I can still play with it. I still miss my old polly pocket collection. Sacrificed to the move to the US when I was 13 because I had those perty dolls that had the plastic clothes. I played with those a ton too…
Besides that my mommy gifted me a Visa gift card and most importantly, a fresh skein of alpaca wool in my favorite brown! Oh the pretty things I will make probably starting with mittens for the boys β€ such a great package. Ever so grateful for those thoughts from my mom. The only thing missing was some vanille kipferl. ‘Tis the season… just saying π
Phoenix is huge. A lot of its parts just seem duplicates of itself. Same strip mall with a Walgreens on the opposing corner and a fast food restaurant on the next and a gas station.
We got back after sunset. I cooked some food, but Galixy wanted to go to bed, probably stuffed from all the good snacks we purchased. Atreyu and I ate and watched a movie before heading to bed.
Today there’ll be an oil change, a fuel filter change, hopefully a battery connection or two, a seat revamp, some water fetching. Busy busy!!
Kid time β€ atreyu wants to be a “fluffing jet” and Galixy is constipated and chilly despite the electric heater joe lent us for the 2 night freeze warning here.
Days are sunny and hot, though.
Loving you!! Till next time.
Tell me if you know of anything “must do” in phoenix. Atreyu says he likes whales, so I was thinking an aquarium? Hopefully no whales but fish aplenty there.
