Day 3 of Havasu

Today is my dad’s birthday… but I’m not gonna call him until tomorrow so I can hopefully catch both him and his wife, whose birthday is the 20th. Handy dandy. I love them so much, could easily afford to call them twice. I just dislike talking on the phone. It’s like diving into a different reality in your head with somebody else.

Today was laundry day after a long morning in Standard Wash, which we found our way back to after night fall. Laundry can either be very exciting and profitable or super uneventful. As beautiful as Southside Laundromat is, it was the latter. So we piloted Bugus to the park, where I was advised not to let my dog out or I could get ticketed by Police. Poo Havasu Rotary park. So I put the animals up and let the kids climb a little longer before trying my “no shop” bugus experiment at Safeway in town “center” $50, no cardboard sign, just telling people admiring Matilda that we run on donations.

I didn’t hear from the guy with the shocks today, though I met a fellow named George that says he’s so inspired by Bugus that he wants to help me out… he just doesn’t think shocks will help my engine but maybe fresh injectors would. Ouch! just the thing i didn’t want to hear.

At the end of the day I purchased some toilet paper. Woot. Tomorrow I’m looking into replacing my interior solar lantern with something. It seems dark in here. Also, we need to donate some kids books Atreyu and I sorted through (shedding weight & space).

I thought I lost chickie, the kitty, today, too. I half mindedly put him up in the bug so he wouldn’t try to run out the door. Well, after a while I wondered why he wasnt around. I frantically searched for the cat and all the kids could say was “oh, well…”. Then I remembered putting him up and started searching in the bug, but still, no sign of the little meow. I opened the front hatch on the bug and started to believe I’d left him at the park or he got out of the vent windows and smooshed… I was searching for the kitten as if it was an inanimate object by the end of this. Put some fresh tuna in his bowl close by the hatch and went to smoke. Abracadabra! Kitten meowing down the hatch. What nonsense emotions I went through for this cat. O.o I must be starting my period soon.

Not gonna sugarcoat my experience here. I’m probably not gonna describe the joys of menstrual cups here, but if it’s affecting me, I’ll shine a light on why. Same with intimacy. I’m not gonna ring a bell if I get laid, but if it changes something in my life, it could get a mention. Here to be honest and awkward!

Loving you!

Grateful for having watched Atreyu dance with a flashlight in hand and his lovely song mentioning “and Laaaney lovessss ME”
