Right now: 6:37 PM lake havasu, chilly all day so that hasn’t improved with sun down
I’m so grateful to my endearing children and the few people who stopped by the stand I had sitting out all day today. I definitely feel like I make way more money without wares out and holding only a cardboard sign. Now there’s a harsh reality. I’m used to hearing “maybe if they tried harder” or whatever phrasing the yuppie indulged themselves in, but any time I show how much effort I put into keeping busy the less kick downs I get. I’m not about to stop putting in effort, but tomorrow imma hide my stuff and just have my cardboard sign out.
So, $40 “richer”, letting kids play at the play place after having been in rocks and on the bus all day. I also met a couple people, one guy who says he’s got shocks for me easy… we’ll see *crossing fingers*. Another guy that prophecies the 12 days of Christmas this year to be a terrible showdown of holy wars. I did hear something about 9 years ago about 2012 lasting through to dec 2018?? But apocalypse probably wont be what we expect anyway. Be it as it may, if things go down, this Pastor Moses says I got a place to be safe. 😛
The highlights of today: waking up in the desert and having a morning time fire; Getting the kitten harness squared away; neither boy had a nap today so it’s almost bed time 🙂 ; the lady that bought a quartz with iron inclusion for $20 donations (she said her daughter just got herself a minibus too! I wish her so much luck and love with her journey) ; Galixy tripped and hit his nose bloody on flat ground.
I will be heading into the desert in the next 10 minutes. I gotta do something about the storage on my phone it seems.
I’m tired. I feel like it’s more tired of right now than actually exhausted. That’s a lie. I love my life, I’m just tired. The end of a long “unaccomplished” day.
I know I dont work enough with the kids on their “education” but we sang ABC’s, read together, and counted/picked up/multiplied rocks. They are also getting really good at the listening game and identifying their body parts. Atreyu’s getting on a kick for his privacy while peeing and saying “nobody wants to see the naked” I told him “people dont get to see you naked”…? On the spot, surely we’ll be talking more about this.
I hope you’ll join me for more adventures. Maybe I’ll become more organized.
