At this moment:

It is 10:54 am, Barstow, CA, truck stop.

We parked in the back close to McDonalds because it was a cold day yesterday and a play place gives options for running children, while also having the truck stop for asking truckers for Diesel with a 5gal jug. We currently have a good friend riding along with his dog. Peaches is a great helper and juggernaut. After we pulled in, two other travelers walked up. It was super exciting to see friends and have them check out the renovation to #MatildatheBugus.

My kids are early risers, so we get up around 7 every morning. It was frigid getting out of blankets, though the sun is still promising warmth to come. So the morning has been wasted with social interactions, a play place run, and a couple jugs entering my fuel tank courtesy of Peaches.

The plan for today: find a park and enjoy outside, find a kitten harness befitting Chickie, and see where our nose takes us. East and south: Warmth and Sunshine. The goal of my winters.

The goal in general? Betterment. I have work to do on myself, my home, with my children. I want people to see other options outside boxes (inside other boxes). I want to bring the infectious nature of smiles to as many people I see. That’s why Matilda is such a great contribution to my life. It is moving art that some can enjoy. It is silly and loud.

I hope you smile. I hope you feel some warmth and excitement. I have plenty to share and the time has come. Maybe you’ll share with me, too? Drop a line. Let’s chat! ❤
